Question
Indicative answer
We are building in a bushfire area. How does timber work in this environment?
We certainly do supply timber and hardened glass products for fire-rated areas and are fully conversant with the ratings that comply with the forthcoming Australian Standards
Can we have traditional windows, but with double-glazing?
Yes, we even supply triple-glazing if the application requires it.
Do you use rainforest timber?
All new timber is sourced from suppliers who can guarantee it is plantation-grown. The only timber over which we have no control is the recycled material recovered from old buildings, wharfs and similar demolition sources, but that is an ecological friendly solution anyway.

Do you supply aluminium frames?

No, we consider that while aluminium offers some advantages in terms of durability, it is one of the most energy-hungry and greenhouse-emission producing materials in common use. Also, unlike timber, it has no "character" and is largely incompatible with the style of work we do

In that case, why do you supply PVC?

While we may not fully approve of the environmental issues, PVC actually offers several advantages over timber in situations where heritage/tradition issues are not significant, Where exposure to full sun occurs, the stability and self-colour properties of this material eliminate potential problems of warping and peeling thus extending the effective life and greatly reducing maintenance.

How can we be assured of the quality of your work?
If the images contained in this website do not convince you, we will gladly provide contact details for satisfied customers, across a wide range of projects. You are also welcome (by appointment please) to visit us to observe our work
Why Orange? Surely this is inconvenient for residents in the main population centres of the state?
Actually, Orange, where we have now been located for a couple of years after previously being in Sydney, offers many advantages to our customers, as well as ourselves. Our overheads are lower, skilled labour is readily available and efficient transport allows us to service large areas of Australia with relative ease. We are proud and happy to be members of the Central West community and to being a local employer.

How do your prices compare with other joinery works?

Our primary value proposition is quality and we do not want to compete just on price. However, our regional location and lower overheads makes us surprisingly competitive for the kind of premium work we do
